Are You Doing the Will of the Father? | Fr. David Gunter, MIC

Are we truly doing the will of the Father? In today’s reflection, Fr. David Gunter, MIC reminds us that the Christian life is not meant to be lived according to our own will. God calls us to be guided by the Holy Spirit, who leads us to the Father and helps us discern what the Lord desires for our lives. God has set us free so that we can follow Him with faith, confidence, and trust in His mercy.
When we try to live only for ourselves, we risk losing the fullness of the life God wants to give us. We must not allow evil, distractions, or our own desires to pull us away from His will. When we surrender ourselves to God and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, we discover what it means to be truly alive—walking confidently in the freedom, love, and mercy of God.

As we celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, Fr. David reminds us that true peace and unity do not come from human movements, but from conversion of heart. His mission was not to reform by revolt—but to rebuild by repentance.
