Why do we call priests "Father"?

Join Fr. Chris Alar, MIC as he discusses the Sacrament of Holy Orders. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says, "...call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in Heaven." (Mt 23:9) So why do we address Catholic priests as "Father?" This teaching is part of Fr. Chris's brand-new book, Understanding the Sacraments: God's Grace Guaranteed —a must-have guide to the spiritual treasures of the Church.
