In Episode 1, Fr. Anthony reflects on the meaning of the Advent hymn, “O Come, O Come Emmanuel." He encourages us to heed the words of the late Pope Francis, as Advent coincides with the winding down of the Jubilee Year of Hope, to “Hope in the Lord. Hold firm, take heart, and hope in the Lord!”

Fr. Anthony Gramlich reminds us that peace does not begin with politicians, treaties, or worldly agreements—it begins in the human heart. Even the most powerful leaders cannot bring lasting peace if the heart of man remains in turmoil. As Fr. Anthony says, “The war doesn’t begin on the outside. It begins with hatred—hatred toward your brother.” We can sign countless peace agreements, but as long as hearts are not reconciled to God, those agreements will crumble.
Father Anthony reflects on John 11:35 — “Jesus wept” — the shortest verse in Scripture, yet one of the most profound, revealing the tender heart of Christ, who enters into our sorrow with compassion, love, and tears, reminding us that God is not distant from our suffering but present within it.
