Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of machines to mimic the performance of humans in performing intellectual tasks, to “think, learn, and make decisions.” AI systems can perform tasks like us, but there are things computers cannot do like us. Father Chris Alar, MIC, explains how AI started, where is it going, and if the Church says if it is good or bad. Then hear Fr. Mark Baron, MIC, in conversation with Dr. Eugene Gan, a professor of Interactive Media, Communications, and Fine Art at Franciscan University of Steubenville, for a discussion of the broader implications of AI and what it means to use these tools in service of truth, dignity, and the common good.

Watch Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, and the Marian Fathers and Brothers from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy on our weekly show, "Living Divine Mercy," airing on EWTN every Thursday at 10 pm ET, with an encore presentation on Mondays at 9:00 am ET.  Through teaching segments, Bible and St. Faustina Diary excerpts, as well as real-life examples of people who are living Divine Mercy in their lives, you will learn why Jesus said Divine Mercy is mankind's last hope of salvation!
