Repeal Massachusetts Chapter 188 - Referendum Petition
his is an urgent call from Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, Provincial Superior of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, inviting Massachusetts residents who support the referendum effort to join the campaign seeking to repeal Chapter 188 of the Acts of 2026, the abortion law signed by Governor Maura Healey on August 10, 2026.
A referendum campaign organized through the Compassionate Care Coalition is seeking to suspend and repeal Chapter 188. Organizations supporting the effort include Massachusetts Citizens for Life, Massachusetts Family Action, and Massachusetts Family Institute.
The referendum effort requires physical petition signatures, and October 23, 2026 is the signature-gathering deadline.
We are also seeking volunteers to help collect and process petition signatures.
