Rejoicing in God’s Generosity: The United Hearts of Jesus and Mary | Fr. Mark Baron, MIC

In today’s homily, Fr. Mark Baron, MIC reflects on God’s abundant generosity and the dangers of pride and envy through the Gospel parable of the workers in the vineyard. On the Memorial of St. John Eudes, he also explores the profound union of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and how their united love leads us into the mystery of Divine Mercy. We are invited to rejoice in God’s goodness toward others, receive His grace with gratitude, and allow our hearts to be transformed by His merciful love.
The homily ultimately challenges us to examine our hearts: Do we rejoice when God is generous to someone else, or do we compare their blessings with our own? The remedy for pride and envy is to allow our hearts to be formed after the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. When we recognize everything as grace, another person’s blessing no longer diminishes us. Instead, it becomes another reason to praise the inexhaustible generosity and mercy of God.
