Living the Truth in a Divided World
Living the Truth in a Divided World
In today’s homily, Fr. David Gunter, MIC reflects on the powerful witness of St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, reminding us that the sword of truth is the Word of God. To live in the truth, we must allow our minds and hearts to be guided by the Holy Spirit, who teaches us how to act with courage, clarity, and faithfulness to God’s will.
Proclaiming the truth may bring persecution, division, and difficult trials, but it also secures our path toward eternal life. Every trial allowed by God can become a lesson of purification and strength. The question for each of us is: What is this trial teaching me, and how is the Spirit calling me to stand firm in the truth?
