Father Joe talks about Lucia, who's entire life was one of suffering and offering, as she made the redemptive sacrifice that was asked of all the visionaries.  Lucia accepted God's plan for her, as we all should.

After the Soubirous family encountered financial downfall, they moved into a former jail cell that was unfit for living in. Father Joe Roesch, MIC, shares about this time in St. Bernadette's life from right outside "Le Cachot."

Saint Bernadette was born into a loving family that lived at a mill until they fell on hard times. She was a small girl but was loved dearly and she was brought up in the faith. Learn more about her upbringing as we continue our virtual Marian pilgrimage with Fr. Joseph Roesch, MIC.The beautifully photographed book "France: A Pilgrimage with Mary" is now available at ShopMercy.org
