Happy All Saints Day! As Fr. Matthew reminds us, today we celebrate all the saints — not just those canonized and known to the Church, but also the hidden saints known only to God. These are the souls who lived their lives faithfully, quietly, and heroically, fulfilling the will of God in the ordinary duties of their daily lives. This feast is meant to be your feast day too. God desires every one of us to become a saint, to be counted among the Church Triumphant in Heaven.

July 6 is the feast day of one of the most inspirational – and youngest – saints in the history of the Catholic Church: St. Maria Goretti, only 11 years old when she was killed. Father Chris Alar, MIC says her example of forgiveness to her attacker has had  –  and still has –  a profound impact. Then hear the powerful story of Frank Ramirez who also lost a daughter at a young age but believes the way in which she died is the workmanship of an all-good and all-loving God.

Despite what the devil wants us to believe, hell does exist! But why, if God is good, would he allow such a thing as hell to exist, with all its suffering and pain? In this episode, Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, helps us to understand that hell is a consequence of the gift of free will that God gave us.
