The Sin of Pride

The Seven Deadly Sins are called capital sins because, as the Catechism explains, they engender all other sins, all other vices. The deadliest of all, the “king” of all sins, is pride because it is the one that gives birth to all the others. Father Chris Alar, MIC, explains.

Then meet Deacon Jeff Willard, port chaplain at the Galveston Seafarer Center in Galveston, Texas. He brings Christ's hope and healing presence to crew members, longshoremen, and day workers through the Sacraments, compassionate learning, and practical support.
