On Nov. 11, Veterans Day, we are reminded of the courage and sacrifice of those who serve and have served our country, both past and present. In fact, one of our Marian Saints, St. Stanislaus Papczynski, had a special devotion to ministering to soldiers, and that tradition continues today among the Marian Fathers.

In the Catholic Church, there are two primary forms of the Roman Rite Liturgy: the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM), codified after the Council of Trent in 1570, and the Novus Ordo Mass, promulgated in 1969 after the Second Vatican Council. The latter is the most common form, while the former is often the subject of confusion and controversy. In order to better understand Islam, we must understand its mission. Muhammad founded Islam in the year 611 after claiming he received divine revelations through the angel Gabriel. He took some Jewish mythology, some bits of the Gospel, and mixed it all together. So what exactly do many Muslims believe and how does it compare to what we believe as Christians?
