The Immaculate Conception

On December 8, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, a holy day of obligation and a feast that holds a special place in the hearts of us Marian Fathers.

But what does it mean that Mary was conceived immaculately? And why is she so central to our faith, not only as Mother of God but as the perfect model for every Christian?

Father Donald Calloway, MIC, explains.

Then hear about the Shrine of St. Anthony, a remarkable place in Maryland that's a hub of mercy in action, where the spirit of service is alive every day, from welcoming people seeking God, to growing fresh produce, to running programs that feed, teach, and uplift the community.
