On Nov. 2 of each year, The Catholic Church observes the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, otherwise better known as All Souls' Day. It is on this day that we honor those who have passed on from this life, as we pray that they may be purified before entering into the Kingdom of Heaven! So today, be sure to offer up your prayers for your own departed loved ones, as well as the souls suffering in Purgatory!

God was preparing Lucia before the visions took place. Father Joe notes that Lucia's mother urged her to ask God to make her a saint, and Lucia made a self-offering.

Our Lady told the visionaries that her Immaculate Heart would be their refuge and lead them to God. With all that is going on in our world today, we need to find such a safe place. Mary was never touched by sin, and can inspire us to always fulfill the will of God.
