Discerning God's Will

One of the most common questions people of faith ask is, "How do I know I'm doing the will of God?" Sometimes it may seem difficult to know what God wants for us. Father Chris Alar, MIC, reveals that the answer is actually not difficult: We know from Scripture the great commandments are to love God and to love our neighbor, but these can be expanded to teach us about God's will. Then hear the story of a young married couple and how faith can carry us through even the most devastating moments, revealing God's presence in ways one could never have imagined.

Watch Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, and the Marian Fathers and Brothers from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy on our weekly show, "Living Divine Mercy," airing on EWTN every Wednesday at 6:30 pm ET, with an encore presentation on Mondays at 9:00 am ET.  Through teaching segments, Bible and St. Faustina Diary excerpts, as well as real-life examples of people who are living Divine Mercy in their lives, you will learn why Jesus said Divine Mercy is mankind's last hope of salvation!

Chris Alar, MIC explains, the Church enters Christmas at Vespers on Christmas Eve, because the mystery we celebrate is not sentimentality but the Incarnation itself — God entering history to heal what humanity could never repair on its own.
The Feast of the Transfiguration (Aug. 6), the moment when Jesus reveals His divine glory to Peter, James, and John on the top of the mountain, is a powerful reminder of who He truly is and who we’re called to become in Him. Father Daniel Klimek reflects more deeply on this mystery, with a special teaching drawn from his own book.
