No Sin Greater Than His Love: The Story of Mary Magdalene
No Sin Greater Than His Love: The Story of Mary Magdalene
On the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, Fr. Tyler Mentzer, MIC, reflects on one of the greatest truths of the Gospel: Jesus always makes the first move to love us. No matter how far we have fallen or how often we fail, Christ never stops pursuing us with His infinite mercy.
St. Mary Magdalene's life is a powerful witness that no sin is greater than God's love. Tradition has long portrayed her as a woman deeply wounded by sin and disordered desires before her conversion. In many ways, she represents every person who wrestles with weakness, brokenness, and the attraction of sin.
Today's homily reminds us that God never defines us by our past. He sees who we are capable of becoming through His grace. Like St. Mary Magdalene, we are invited to respond to His love, trust in His mercy, and allow Him to transform our lives.
Our past does not define us; our encounter with Christ does.
