In this powerful teaching on the Exaltation of the Cross, Fr. Daniel Klimek reminds us that the Cross is not merely a symbol of suffering; it is the path to healing, freedom, and salvation. Just as the Israelites had to look upon the serpent in the wilderness to be healed, we too are invited to face the wounds, fears, struggles, and crosses we would rather avoid. To embrace the Cross is to bring those places of pain before Christ, trusting that what seems like a place of defeat can become, through Him, a place of purification, healing, and transformation.
Fr. Daniel Klimek calls us to understand Christianity from Calvary, the Passion of Jesus, and the mystery of the Cross. Especially in our darkest moments, we are called to remain close to God and remember how profoundly Christ suffered, how completely He gave Himself, and how immeasurable His love for us is. The Cross reveals that suffering united with Jesus can lead us into deeper communion with God and ultimately toward salvation. There is no Christianity without the Cross, and when we embrace the Cross with Christ, even our deepest wounds can become a pathway to new life.
