The Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, and especially Provincial Superior Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, are warning the faithful about a serious and growing problem: impersonators are using artificial intelligence to create false or manipulated content that appears to feature Fr. Chris.
AI technology can now imitate a person’s voice, appearance, and manner of speaking with alarming realism. Even more concerning, these fake videos can alter or fabricate Fr. Chris Alar’s teachings, making it appear that he said or taught things that he never did.
A video that looks and sounds like Fr. Chris may not be real.
