Your Burden Was Tailor-Made

Reflecting on Jesus' words, "My yoke is easy, and my burden light," Fr. Chris Alar,MIC  explains that every cross God permits is tailor-made for our salvation.

The trials we face reveal who we truly are and draw us closer to Christ when we unite them to His Cross. Jesus does not promise a life without suffering, but He promises to carry it with us. Through the sacraments, and a life of prayer, we discover that our burdens become lighter because Christ Himself bears them with us.

May this message encourage you to surrender every worry, every fear, and every hardship to Jesus, trusting that His Divine Mercy is greater than any burden you carry.

Fr. Gabe Cillo reminds us of Jesus’ words: “Unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven” (Mt 18:3). The path to holiness is not about power, recognition, or external perfection, but humility of heart. St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower, embraced this Gospel truth in her “Little Way,” choosing hiddenness, trust, and simplicity over greatness in the eyes of the world.

What appears, at first glance, to be a ritual of purification reveals instead a profound lesson in obedience, humility, and grace.
