Catholic tradition recalls for us the repentant criminal crucified beside Jesus as St. Dismas, often called the “Good Thief.” Although his story occupies only a few lines in Scripture, it has become one of the most powerful testimonies to God's Mercy in all of Christian teaching. Father Chris Alar, MIC, reveals the details of his story.

We are saved only by God's grace, but we need to cooperate with that grace if we want to get to Heaven. Father Chris Alar, MIC, explains how we can do this.

In his Christmas homily Fr. Chris provides a deeper understanding of the Christmas Mystery. He does this by looking at the birth of Jesus from the perspective of the Holy Trinity. This homily can truly help you to better understand the significance of the Word - the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity - becoming flesh.
