Why is the Ascension of Jesus into Heaven is a critically important day in the Church? Is it a Holy Day of Obligation? Join Fr. Chris Alar as he discusses this important feast and hear the story of an extraordinary community service organization where the healthcare is provided by physicians who are from the congregation of the Sisters of Mercy.

Aren't plenary indulgences old and outdated, only from the Middle Ages, and bad because the Church sold them? No!Fr. Chris Alar explains why not.

To exercise true freedom, you have to be able to say yes and no to both the bad and the good, not just to what is sinful. When you fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, you are being obedient to the Church and share in the sacrifice of Christ. In fact, some demons can only be driven out by prayer and fasting. Father Chris Alar, MIC, explains.
