Lucia's simple country home reminds Father Joe of St. Faustina's home. Both young girls received a beautiful formation from their loving family, encouraged by their parents in their faith as preparation for whatever God had in store for them. 

As we celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, Fr. David reminds us that true peace and unity do not come from human movements, but from conversion of heart. St. Francis lived a life of radical poverty, clinging only to the Cross of Christ. He owned nothing, desired no prestige, and sought only obedience to God and His Church. His mission was not to reform by revolt—but to rebuild by repentance.

Using the example of the cistern which always provided a source of life-giving water to the home of Francisco and Jacinta, Fr. Joe notes how, amid the culture of death that surrounds us, God will always provide light, life, and safety to us.
