Celebrating 25 Years of the Marians in Steubenville

This year, 2022, the Marians of the Immaculate Conception are celebrating our 25-year anniversary in Steubenville, Ohio! From humble beginnings. In August 1997, Father Joe Roesch, then Brothers Donald Calloway and John Larson, and postulant Pat Norris were truly pioneers as they were the first members of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception to open a Marian house in Steubenville, Ohio. Father Joe is now the Vicar General of the Marian Congregation and lives in Rome, Italy. Father Donald is currently the Vocation Director, the Provincial Vicar of the American province, and he also travels the world sharing his incredible conversion story and gives talks on Our Lady, Saint Joseph, and Divine Mercy. Father John has recently moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin to serve as the Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Parish. Meanwhile, Pat is no longer a member of the community. 25 years later, the Marian House of Studies in Steubenville serves as a formation house for Marian brothers studying at Franciscan University. The Marian priests celebrate Mass at the University once a week and also for the local women’s religious communities, as well as help out in the local parishes. We give thanks and praise to Almighty God for 25 wonderful years in Steubenville! Here's to 25 more! May the Virgin Mary's Immaculate Conception be our health and our protection.
