St. Francis de Sales

The Church has always taught that in order to grow in the spiritual life, we need a good spiritual director. Saint Francis de Sales (1567-1622), Bishop and Doctor of the Church (feast day: Jan. 24), is best known for his writings and compassionate approach to spiritual direction and guidance. Father Chris Alar, MIC reveals what this holy man can teach us today. Then hear the story of Michael Ortner, a successful businessman who built an innovative model for Catholic education.

Watch Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, and the Marian Fathers and Brothers from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy on our weekly show, "Living Divine Mercy," airing on EWTN every Wednesday at 6:30 pm ET, with an encore presentation on Mondays at 9:00 am ET.  Through teaching segments, Bible and St. Faustina Diary excerpts, as well as real-life examples of people who are living Divine Mercy in their lives, you will learn why Jesus said Divine Mercy is mankind's last hope of salvation!
