Is Prayer Timeless?

Click for More

The Catholic Church teaches that when someone takes their own life, it doesn’t mean that they automatically lose their soul. Father Chris Alar, MIC, takes this a step further and shows how your prayers today can help someone who has died for any reason, even years ago, at the moment of their judgment. Then be inspired by the testimony of a mother who lost her beloved son to suicide, and how, even in the midst of darkness and despair, she found hope and healing in God's loving mercy.

Watch Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, and the Marian Fathers and Brothers from the National Shrine of Divine Mercy on our weekly show Living Divine Mercy airing every Wednesday at 6:30pm EST on EWTN. Through teaching segments, Bible and St. Faustina Diary excerpts, as well as real-life examples of people who are living Divine Mercy in their lives, you will learn why Jesus said Divine Mercy is mankind's last hope of salvation!

July 6 is the feast day of one of the most inspirational – and youngest – saints in the history of the Catholic Church: St. Maria Goretti, only 11 years old when she was killed. Father Chris Alar, MIC says her example of forgiveness to her attacker has had  –  and still has –  a profound impact. Then hear the powerful story of Frank Ramirez who also lost a daughter at a young age but believes the way in which she died is the workmanship of an all-good and all-loving God.
We all know about the Stations of the Cross but many people don't pray them often because they are inconvenient to get to and take too long to pray. Join Fr. Chris Alar as he gives you a better understanding of why we pray the Stations, how to understand them better, and a new way to pray them quickly!
