In this first episode of "Jubilee Journey Through Lent," Fr. Anthony Gramlich, MIC invites us to embrace Lent as a hope-filled season of transformation, using prayer, fasting, and almsgiving to anchor ourselves in Christ, deepen our faith, and prepare for the joy of Easter.

Father Anthony reflects on John 19:1–5 — the haunting scene of Jesus scourged, crowned with thorns, and presented to the crowd with the words, “Behold the man,” revealing the depth of His humility and love as He silently bears humiliation and pain for our salvation, inviting us to gaze upon Him, recognize our own sin and suffering laid upon His shoulders, and respond not with indifference, but with repentance, gratitude, and trust in His mercy.

Fr. Anthony Gramlich, MIC, draws a powerful connection between Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and St. Paul’s words in Romans 7. Both speak of the same inner struggle — the war within every human heart between good and evil, grace and sin, the saint we long to be and the sinner we often are.
