The Crusades

The Crusades are one of the greatest “black eyes” in the history of the Catholic Church, but also one of the most misunderstood events, according to Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen. Eight Crusades over 200 years literally changed the world and gave us legendary figures like King Richard “the Lionhearted” of England and St. Louis IX of France. Father Chris Alar, MIC, explores the history of the Crusades and considers whether the “just war” theory is applicable. Then hear the inspiring story of Bob and Maureen Digan, who were instrumental in the canonization of St. Faustina.

Watch Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, and the Marian Fathers and Brothers from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy on our weekly show, "Living Divine Mercy," airing on EWTN every Wednesday at 6:30 pm ET, with an encore presentation on Mondays at 9:00 am ET.  Through teaching segments, Bible and St. Faustina Diary excerpts, as well as real-life examples of people who are living Divine Mercy in their lives, you will learn why Jesus said Divine Mercy is mankind's last hope of salvation!
