Father Jason Lewis, MIC confronts a question that has echoed since the time of Christ: Who is Jesus, really? As the Gospel recounts, some of Jesus’ own relatives believed He was “out of his mind,” while the scribes accused Him of acting by the power of evil. Yet Jesus’ works—healing the sick, casting out demons, forgiving sins—force a decision that cannot be avoided.
The Eucharist is precious to us because we are given God Himself, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. That is why it is so important to have reverence for the Eucharist: God is real and wants us to take Him seriously.
